Meeting safely

Our meeting rooms are at the heart of what we do. We made sure they are safe, welcoming, and comfortable. Thinking of booking one of our event spaces? This is what you can expect from your next meeting at Friends House:

Breaks and refreshments

There will be regular room refreshing by our in-house team, scheduled around programme breaks. This will include topping up supplies and cleaning high touchpoint areas. Staff will wear PPE for selected tasks.

Break out rooms

If your event requires the addition of break out rooms or several meeting rooms, those will be located as close as possible to the main room, to limit movements inside the venue. To allocate rooms, we will take into account: delegate numbers, social distancing, along with room capacities and layouts.

Meeting rooms cleaning

We lock our meeting rooms after setting up and cleaning, giving you the reassurance that your event space has not been accessed since it was last cleaned. We deep clean and sanitise every room used for meetings at the end of each day.

During your meeting

So as to reduce contacts, we will encourage customers to leave doors open, if this does not cause a disturbance.

Hybrid events

    • What are they really?

These types of events/meetings incorporate in-person and virtual participation simultaneously. They take place at a physical venue but have a live and interactive audience online – this could be in the room next door or half across the world if not all attendees are allowed or able to gather.

They will enable you to deliver your message while engaging with virtual participants. Allowing you to interact with speakers, participate in Q&A sessions, and network with fellow attendees, for example. The best hybrid events utilise technology to allow this to happen.

    • Options already in place at Friends House

Wi-Fi is included across our venue as a standard and popular video conference tools such as Zoom, Skype or Teams can be set up easily. Our rooms are fitted with LCD projectors/screens and PA systems which can be utilised. We would recommend that at least the speaker would need a microphone (which can be added at a cost).

    • Add on alternatives

As with all events at our venue, we can organise bespoke solutions for you, working closely with our suppliers. Additional costs will apply. The audio-visual department is happy to consult on specific event requirements to ensure the technical aspects of meetings are tailored to the client’s needs.
