10 reasons to come back to Friends House

Date posted:13 May 2021      |      Author: Cecilia B

Still hesitating about resuming your face to face events? As we reopen Friends House on Monday 17 May, we give you 10 (quick) reasons to come back to our venue. From COVID safety to sustainability and catering, we put together a comprehensive list. Spoiler alert: you will most likely want to return after reading this blog!

  1. We’re COVID-safe

We guarantee safe events in our venue. Our team is going the extra mile to make sure the venue is kept clean and social distancing is adhered to at all times. We’re AIM Secure and Good To Go accredited.

  1. Our rooms are versatile

Most of our rooms offer different layouts and can be broken out into several event spaces. The Hilda Clarke suite can be broken out into five different rooms for example. The Light auditorium also offers different layouts to suit all your event needs. Flat floor, exhibition, cabaret, theatre and more are available in our auditorium. Contact our events team to discuss your event requirements: events@quaker.org.uk.

  1. We’re flexible

Our Peace of Mind promise enables you to book in complete confidence. You can either choose to move your event for free up to five days before the event date or postpone it to a later date. We will also automatically upgrade you for free into a bigger room to allow for social distancing. This will apply to new bookings between 17 May and 31 August. View offer now. (More T&Cs apply)

  1. We’re affordable

Despite the pandemic and its impact on our business, we haven’t raised our prices. This means that we’re still one of the most competitive event venues in the Euston and King’s Cross area. Our Day Delegate Packages start from £55 (inc. VAT). Have a look at our packages.

  1. We’re sustainable

We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment and are ECOsmart Gold and Green Tourism Gold accredited. We only purchase green energy and have a zero waste to landfill policy. You can find out more about our Sustainability credentials on our dedicated page. We report on our carbon footprint every year too. You can find our latest reports on the Quiet Company website.

  1. We’re centrally located

We’re right opposite Euston station and about 7 minutes-walk from King’s Cross and Saint Pancras stations. You can watch our video tour of the building to see how easy it is to access our venue from the tube and train station.

  1. Our ethos remains the same

We’re still committed to being a fair and responsible employer. We continue to be a Living Wage Employerand pay staff above the real London Living Wage (£10.85 per hour minimum). You can find out more about our pay and benefits policies on the Quiet Company website.

  1. Our catering is delicious

We are working with Hubbub Catering to bring you a safe and delicious catering experience. We are offering a social distancing menu, served in individual sustainable packaging. All food is freshly made, and ingredients are locally sourced.

  1. We have outdoor spaces

Step inside, and discover our inner courtyard, a real oasis of peace and quiet in the city. You can privatise the courtyard and use it as a complement to The Light auditorium hire. It’s the perfect space for a fair or a reception, as we can install a marquee too. Contact our events team to find out more: events@quaker.org.uk. Your delegates can obviously also enjoy our front garden during their breaks.

  1. We’re extending our events portfolio

You may not know it, but you can hire our venue for filming, fashion shows, photo shoots and even receptions. We’re also happy to accommodate other types of events if we’re able to. Get in touch, tell us your event idea, and we’ll try and make it come true: events@quaker.org.uk.
