SEED KITCHEN

Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant
(currently closed)

Our restaurant is currently closed until further notice. However, you can find out more about the Seed Kitchen ethos below.

A veggie restaurant in Euston

The restaurant is the perfect place for a tasty lunch near Euston station. The focus is on locally sourced, organic, and seasonal food. We source our ingredients within 100 miles from London, where possible. Our menu changes with the seasons and dishes are prepared fresh every day by our team of Chefs.

Until May 2019, Seed Kitchen was operating as Friends House restaurant. The restaurant had a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing. There was no beef on the menu, the meat served was organic and locally sourced and the fish was MSC certified. However, in light of climate change, we felt that a change was needed: the restaurant would serve vegetarian and vegan food. In October 2019, after a refurbishment and a rebranding, it reopened as Seed Kitchen.

Our food

Our menu is seasonal and creative, with both British and international staples. All the dishes are prepared fresh every day by our team of chefs. Expect avocado on toast, soup, quesadilla, (vegan) fish and chips, mushroom stroganoff, coconut crème brûlée, and more. There are also specials throughout the week. All our desserts are made by trainees from the Bake The Difference programme, which helps ex-offenders integrate back into society through baking.

Restaurant space

We want the restaurant to be an inclusive space where people feel comfortable. There are 58 seats altogether, including communal and banquette seating. Eco-sourced materials have been used throughout, such as FSC certified reclaimed wood for the counter. To echo our commitment to sustainability, a “living” wall has been installed. Made entirely from preserved reindeer moss, it is maintenance-free and long-lasting.

It is always a delight to find this lovely, tranquil and friendly centre in the bustle of central London.

After reading other reviews on here I suggested my mum and I meet a friend here for a light lunch and it did not disappoint! We had scones, ice-cream, smoothies and cakes. My mum is disabled so the accessibility of this place really helped, and the staff were lovely. Excellent choice of foods, great value for money, and I loved how committed they are to zero waste.

We always pop to the Quaker House cafe when we go to Euston to catch a train, so much nicer than what Euston station has to offer and is a little tranquility in an otherwise very busy environment.
