Graduation season is approaching, and Friends House is a venue that can help you create a smooth and memorable event for all students and attendees. Read below to find out the 5 reasons why you should choose our venue for your next graduation event!

 

  1. Our spaces are designed to suit your needs.

Friends House is home to 33 meeting rooms and suites and our 1000-seater auditorium, known as The Light. Each of our rooms are full of natural light and have their own distinct characteristics and a variety of layouts available for your graduation event. Our auditorium, The Light, is the ideal, versatile space needed to hold a graduation ceremony, allowing you to create and run an efficient ceremony. It has its own entrance and reception area for your privacy and a flexible layout to help create the perfect atmosphere and organisation for your graduation event.

Our spaces such as the Waldo Williams and Ada Salter suites, are directly next to The Light and can be divided into more than one space, which is ideal for create a separate student robing space and a space for guest and family refreshments. Our Sarah Fell suite is perfect as a portrait photography studio. Throughout the venue, there is a number of rooms that can be delegated to staff, Chancellors and academics.

Here at Friends House, our spaces are a combination of modern contemporary interiors with a grand, neo-Georgian exterior, making your graduation feel like an occasion to remember. Our inner courtyard and gardens are a perfect locations and settings for both socialising and capturing those special moments at your ceremony.

 

  1. Our location

The Light auditorium is the largest conference space in the Euston and King’s Cross area. Our central location is ideal for your attendees, as we are right opposite Euston National Rail Station and a 7-minute walk from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations. You can watch our video tour of the building to see how easy it is to access our venue from the tube and train station.

 

  1. Our on-site AV

At Friends House we have a range of high-quality audiovisual (AV) equipment available on-site to ensure that you have everything you will need to run your event successfully. The Light auditorium and our dedicated audiovisual (AV) team is available to support you, from working on initial concepts through to running a seamless event. They use their wealth of experience to ensure that your event is professional, dynamic and memorable. Our ‘The Light Ultimate’ package is great for any large-scale hybrid events. This package enables you to Livestream your event and provides any family or friends who cannot attend in person, the ability to be there for your student’s graduation ceremony.

 

  1. Our focus on inclusivity – a welcoming venue for all

We are an awarding-wining venue, having won Best Venue for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion London Venue and Catering awards. We a committed to being inclusive and accessible for all that visit our venue. We have a detailed accessibility guide on the Accessible website for all the areas in our venue, two accessible lifts with voice announcements and assistive audio systems that are installed in our larger meeting spaces. The stage in The Light, is fully accessible, meaning that all of students can graduate together. We are also inclusive with our catering, only offering non-alcoholic drinks within our venue, and a vegetarian and vegan food menu.

 

  1. Our commitment to Sustainability – with us, events don’t cost the earth.

Sustainability has always been a key focus here at Friends House. We take action to reduce our carbon emissions, cut our waste and preserve our eco-system. We are an ECOsmart Platinum venue and Green Meetings Gold Award Accredited. If you would like your catering menu to be more sustainable, our caters are able to work with you to create the perfect, plant-based menu.
