Chief Operating Officer
Business Development & Revenue Manager

Chief Operating Officer
We’re recruiting the new Chief Operating Officer to head up the operations for Quiet Company and to help us run our award-winning and sustainable operations in London and Cumbria. You will work with a talented and diverse team at Friends House, our London venue, and Swarthmoor Hall, our Cumbria property. You will also be involved with programmes helping disenfranchised groups.
This is very much a 360 job where your dynamism, leadership and lived experience will be crucial. From dealing with the oversight of service delivery, to increasing conference sales, to managing a historic house, you will work with a variety of people in and outside the company.
Your goal will also be to bring back the company to the £5 million business it was before the pandemic. There is much to do, and we need someone who has experience in running large operations in the hospitality or events industry.
If you are creative, financially sound, have a great track record, are not scared of challenges with an extensive experience in top management positions, we want to hear from you. And if on top of that you have a good understanding of sustainable practices in our industry and know this is the way forward, we want you to apply.
Please note, this role is based in London, with some trips to Cumbria.

Business Development & Revenue Manager
We're looking for our new Business Development and Revenue Manager. Could it be you? You will work with a diverse and talented team at Friends House, our award-winning central London venue. You will help us generate revenue from our conferencing business and oversee the marketing strategy for the operations of Quiet Company (Friends House, the café, Swarthmoor Hall and Bake the Difference).
From working with a busy sales team to establishing great relationships with agencies and launching promotional campaigns for the whole of the company, this is a very comprehensive and exciting job for a hospitality or event professional.
You will also assert our presence as an ethical and sustainable company in our industry by being innovative and by working with disenfranchised groups.
Your role will require you to have great people management skills, a great track record in achieving targets, budget building and reporting skills, and an appetite for elevating a business to new highs. A good understanding of sustainability best practice in our industry is also essential.
If this sounds like you, come and join our company. You will work in a friendly environment for a value-driven company and enjoy a range of benefits.
